Thanks to everyone who prays for and supports our ministry. We are thrilled to be your representatives to the university students of Spain. We have basic information on this website about us, our ministry and how to support us. Please let us know if you desire regular updates. May God make his face shine upon you all!

Stuff about us:
Shawn: I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, a pastor’s kid with ministry on my heart. At North Central University, I met and married Deborah, and then I completed a Master’s Degree in Theology at Bethel University. While living in the Minneapolis area, we began volunteering with a ministry to international students at the U of Minnesota. This ministry combined our two passions: cross-cultural ministry and students. Deborah and I spent 6 months teaching at a Bible School in Madagascar before settling into Chi Alpha ministry for the next decade, focusing on Georgetown U in Washington DC. We are proud of the ongoing work there and thoroughly enjoyed our years in the area. We are eager to begin our next stage of ministry in Spain.
Deborah: I grew up as a “missionary kid” in Brussels, Belgium. I met Shawn in Minnesota and married him in 1994, after graduating from North Central University. My distant dream was to work overseas, but I was delighted to stay in the United States and plunge into Chi Alpha ministry. After teaching high school English for several years, I decided to focus on babies and co-ministry with Shawn (it was more than enough to handle!). God has also graciously allowed me to write a weekly devotional called “Manna” for Northland Cathedral A/G for nearly 10 years, giving me time in the Word and keeping my brain from baby-insanity. Our years in the Washington DC area have been challenging, enjoyable, and fruitful, and I am eager to see God’s provision for our family in Spain.
We have three children: Luke 8/27/98, Ruth 12/10/00, and Claire 3/18/03. They are our joy!

Shawn loves to cook, specializing in curry, Tex-mex and BBQ. Enjoys to play soccer. Likes to read randomly. In terms of ministry he loves teaching on the nature of the spiritual life & the Old Testament. He is a member of Society of Pentecostal Studies & Evangelical Missions Society. Deborah consumes reading material of all kinds. Loves quality tea and coffee, reading to our kids, getting to know neighbors and learning about anything new. Lives healthy and often tries, but seldom makes it, to the gym.
Luke loves to read everything particularly adventure and mystery. He loves to play futbol and collect all things Real Madrid! Ruth invents things from scratch and creates lots of art and makes her own recipes. She loves to create cool outfits. Claire plays practical jokes, organize her “office” and rides her scooter everywhere she can. She loves salsa and chips and calls all meat “chicken”.
